Making Games and Taking Names.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Role Playing Game (RPG)?
A RPG is a game where a group of people agree to mutually pretend based upon a theme or storyline as individual Characters, typically a Game Master referees and orchestrates that story and governs the mechanics of the game rules.

What is the difference between Live Action RPG's (AKA LARPing), Table Top RPG's, and computer RPG's?
A Live Action Role Playing Game involves people, costumes, hand or object-based rules systems (such as rock-paper-scissors or hitting each other with foam balls), and a defined set of players as Characters playing out a storyline through a greater, typically outdoor, geographic area.

Table Top Role Playing Games involve a bunch of people, character sheets (pieces of paper with information on the limitations on the Character being played), food and beverages, pencils and pens and dice, choosing to role play normally around a table (hence the name).

Computer Role Playing Games allow a player to play game within a universe as defined by the creators of that game, sometimes these experiences allow for multiple players, sometimes they only allow one player, in all cases the computer programmers who created the game govern how the game functions and how the player interacts with that virtual universe.
